Care for the Elderly

“Be Shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them.” – 1 Peter 5:2

The Care for the Elderly (CFE) as the sub-committee/wing of St. Andrew’s Church Pastorate Committee works among senior citizens in the Congregation. CFE support the senior members in their spiritual and life -skills and also supporting them through various regular lively sessions that encourages and uplifts their spirit.

We are very grateful and thank God for His continued protection, provision and for the gift of sound health. God has truly blessed us and has helped us through the tough times. We would praise HIS NAME for all the blessings HE has bestowed upon us.

This ministry started on the 15th of August 2019, with a Retreat at the Ecumenical Centre, Whitefield.

We thank God Almighty and our Lord Jesus Christ, for giving us the time to Praise and Worship Him.

Care For The Elderly and the Young Couples’ Fellowship had organized th Christmas Program on Sunday, 4th of December 2022, for our Elders. The speaker was our Presbyter, Rev. Dr. Dexter S. Maben, who addressed the gathering with an inspiring message.

The program started with the youth, young couples and elders leading us in the Praise and Worship with Carols.

There was a short activity on connecting with one another. Our Presbyter brought out the message of love speaking on the love which Joseph and Mary had for each other accompanied with Trust. This was addressed to the young couples. He spoke to the elders on how to stay close to the Lord when alone.

There was a short Choreography by our Youth. This was followed by a Fellowship Lunch.

In conclusion, we would like to thank all who came together in helping us organize this program and invited the elders, and all the elders who attended the Program.
